Our Research

Our research endeavors strive to improve the overall patient experience.  Our team has initiated research in further development of existing platforms and the creation of new innovative simulation and virtual reality platforms for rehabilitation.  Goals of our research include evidence to support the effectiveness of these platforms as a therapeutic modality for rehabilitation.  Our preliminary data was presented at the Medicine Meets Virtual Reality Conference in January 2009.  Future goals include further research and publications, program expansion into the Bone Marrow Unit and home therapy settings, and the exploration in concepts such as Telerehabilitation/ Telemedicine to maximize resources and improve outcomes.  Our plans also include a presentation at the ArizOTA conference in September 2009.
